"Elsewhere, just about everywhere, Julien collects plastic bags of potato crisps or peanuts lying around. Brightly coloured waste tossed about by the weather like tumbleweeds in Colorado... Out of a kind of empathy and respect, he observes and preserves their shape. He makes sideboards for them, a kind of exoskeleton made of small pieces of wood, to keep them in the shape they have found. Such light sculptures of almost nothing..."
